Disadvantages of the Windows operating system

  2. Its “proprietary” characteristic requires the acquisition of rights through licenses, which many cannot afford, especially if we are talking about home users and small businesses.
  3. Malicious code is often a constant problem, requiring investment in antivirus software.
  4. Some of their versions require large amounts of hardware resources, which makes it difficult to run them on some computers.
  5. Most of the applications that are vital to work on high-demand tasks require a license, as well as the system; this is the case of office packages, for example.
  6. It presents errors that are fatal, such as the so-called screens of death, which occur when compatibility problems manifest themselves at the hardware level.
  7. In versions lower than Windows 7, the famous service packs are necessary updates for the security of the system, which are a little uncomfortable to install.
  8. Being a proprietary system, the product is cracked, and although it can be used, it presents limitations; since if the Windows support center detects that it is not a genuine version, it informs the user, modifying the system startup.
  9. The licenses corresponding to corporate versions have a really high cost, which many companies cannot afford.
  10. Many versions of malware and other subtle applications have been developed, which slow down the most important processes of the system.

Conclusion
